Quick Facts:

An adaptable tree that tolerates a wide range of soil and climatic conditions. A relatively slow growing, small deciduous tree forming an open often flat-topped canopy, gnarled tree at maturity. Elegant fern-like foliage, purple/red when young maturing to dark green and turning bronze to gold in autumn. Showy yellow flowers in early summer followed by papery 'Chinese Lantern' looking brown seed pods. May not flower if stressed. Interesting light grey/brown finely ridged and furrowed bark on mature trees.
