Quick Facts:

Dwarf variety of the evergreen magnolia (Magnolia grandiflora), but only a quarter of its size. Little Gem has a dense growth habit, dark green, glossy leaves, with rusty coloured undersurface. Flowers are lemon fragrance with waxy white petals, appearing in late spring and summer. Requires full sun to semi shade with protection from frosts and winds. Prefers well drained soils, with reliable moisture. Suitable as small feature tree. Full sun, tolerates wet areas. Excellent for screening.
